Arrive Friday afternoon at OM Jungle Medicine for a weekend of sacred Ayahuasca. Ceremonies are held Friday and Saturday night by Pajé Maná of the Shanenawá, and a medicine team from their village. Farm-to-table meals and a place to rest in the maloca are included with the NFTs. Private pods in shared dorms are available for $35/night.

Meet Maná Shanenawá, the chief and pajé of the Kene Merá village.
The Shanenawá people have resided along the banks of the Envira River (Feijó – Acre) since 1940. With a population of 1500 distributed across 11 villages, they deeply embrace their traditions and cultural heritage. Revered as the Doctors of the Forest among indigenous communities, they carry profound knowledge of medicinal herbs and sacred plant teachers.
Representing the entire Shanenawá nation, we introduce Maná, the Pajé and Cacique of the Kene Merá Village. Maná holds a degree in Letters from the Federal University of Acre and serves as a teacher within the village. His first book in the traditional language (Nuke tsãy) has been completed, documenting the community’s history, local medicines, and rich culture.
For 16 years, Maná was mentored by village elders, studying ancestral and indigenous wisdom, eventually becoming one of the esteemed Pajés, skilled in sacred medicines.
Recently, Maná began to serve the medicine out Uni (Ayahuasca) outside of his village. Firstly, to share the Shanenawá cosmovision, spiritual teachings to heal humanity’s collective heart; they feel the impact of our sickness most accutely as it harms the Amazon Rainforest, their ancestral home. Secondly, Maná travels to help support his village. In particular, he brings funds to help village reconstruction after the 2021 flood. The flood caused severe damage to crucial structures such as the drinking water well, Casa de Rezo, and the Women’s House.
Like everyone who serves medicine at OM, the Shanenawá work with great skill and integrity. Their strength is in community, and they know how to create a safe space to do deep healing work. Ultimately, they teach healing comes from joy and love, and it is at the core of all they do.
